Revision of Control of Asbestos at Work regulations, produced by Health & Safety Commission, is expected to become law later in 2002. These regulations will cover commercial premises, and common parts of multi-let domestic blocks, as domestic premises will be dealt with later. Regulations propose that those with obligations in relation to the maintenance or repair of a building will have additional duties regarding the maintenance or removal of asbestos.
