Explains the proposed changes to the Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. Describes how the government published and invited comments on a draft Construction Contracts Bill in July 2008 and how the bolder provisions of this Bill were dropped. This has left only limited changes for the adjudication process but more fundamental reform for payment mechanisms in construction contracts.
