A key feature of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 is the right for a disabled person to have the same access as any other person. The article argues that it is not enough just to install ramps and lifts in buildings but that disability covers a range of difficulties that need to be considered on any new project. Discusses visual impairments and access audits in particular.
