Looks at final certificates in design-and-build contracts, with particular reference to the recent case of the "Barking & Dagenham LBC v Terrapin Construction Ltd". In this the CA examined the effect of a final certificate issued under a JCT 1981 With Contractor's Design form of contract. CA held that the Final Certificate would be conclusive in respect of all materials and standards of workmanship.
