Reflects best practice in international commercial arbitration without reference to particular requirements of any applicable laws and/or rules. CIArb Practice and Standards Committee reviewed three of the Guidelines relating to jurisdictional challenges, application for interim measures, and application for security for costs. The remainder of eighteen guidelines are currently under review. The Guidelines identify best practice as to how arbitrators should respond to procedural issues and challenges that commonly arise. Guidelines are not prescriptive and do not contain any legal advice.
