Online resources: Summary: Presented at the Bank of England Commercial Property Forum event on 28th January 2011, this update summarises the current condition of the UK commercial property market with regard to bank and other debt finance. Bank exposure to UK commercial property remains high, largely secured by secondary or tertiary quality properties. Values for high quality properties have risen but many poor quality usually highly leveraged properties have seen their value continuing to fall. The risk of debt service breaches is rising for secondary and tertiary property.
