Provides a planning guidance tool specific to wind energy developments. Aims to allow a condition to be attached to developments where the granting permission would otherwise be unsuitable. Presents six criteria which should apply to any such condition. The planning condition should be necessary; relevant to planning; relevant to the development; enforceable; precise; and reasonable. The guidance, which is not intended to be definitive, is aimed at Local Planning Authorities and similar bodies, consultees, objector groups, developers, potential wind developers and other stakeholders.
