Mistakes in adjudication

Owen, C.

Mistakes in adjudication - 2000 - Building Services Journal October 2000, 43(1) .

Considers what action can be taken by those involved in an adjudication where the adjudicator makes a mistake. Looks at the case of "Bouygues v Dahl-Jensen" where the adjudicator miscalculated a payment. Also considers the possibility of correcting adjudication errors. Discusses "Bloor Construction (UK) v Bowman and Kirkland (London)", in which a judge decided that an adjudicator could correct certain mistakes. Concludes that, generally speaking, whether right or wrong an adjudicator's decision will be enforced by the courts.
