Fears over `privity of contract`

Fears over `privity of contract` - 1999 - Building 264 (8073) 5 February 1999, 16(1) .

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is hoping to get an exemption for construction contracts from the Construction (Rights of Third Parties) Bill which could be in force by the autumn. They fear that third parties would have to give their consent to variations in contracts which could be `unworkable`.
