A paper presented at the COBRA Conference in New Delhi on 10-12 September 2013. Looks at laws and regulations relating to sustainable construction in Egypt, highlighting the existing shortcomings of current legislation and proposing alternatives. This paper reviews the status quo of the set of laws and regulations related to sustainable construction in Egypt. The existing problems and shortcomings of current laws and regulations are highlighted, and approaches to realistic implementation are proposed.
